Re: Captured videos keep going bad after restarting monitors, will pay!!

This is the common smearing issue in the ffmepg library that gets reported frequently. Search the forums. You'll find many posts about smearing/tearing/corrupted images. The root cause is in the ffmpeg library itself so all we can do is provide workarounds. For starters, do this: - Set your colorspa...

Re: How to understand stats from an alarm?

Good question. That does sound abnormal. I'd have to see a how you've got your zones configured.

Re: mocord vs bulk frames, creates events of 1sec to 30mn+

Argh... it seems I'm mixing up forum users again. When I wrote my last response, I was writing it on the assumption I had responded to your question about how to set up motion detection here: https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewtopic.php?p=105190 The only problem is that wasn't you! My apologies. I do...

Re: my server crashed and when I rebooted it got blue streaming and high CPU usage

Known issue with a known workaround.

Open each monitor and put a value in the max fps field 1 fps higher than the stream coming from the camera. This will prevent the cpu from blowing up if ZoneMinder cannot communicate with the ip camera for any reason.

Re: Filters: total disk space used?

I have no idea how you came to that conclusion.
The default purge when full filter, that ships with ZoneMinder, does exactly what you are asking.

I wonder if this is relevant https://github.com/connortechnology/Zon ... /issues/87
Yes, and as one can see from the output that is coming from the systemd journal which ships with the operating system.

Re: (Solved)API not working with PHP 7.2 and Bionic 18.04

Not a problem. I'm just trying to understand this as best I can... the best way to fix this is file a bug report with the Crud project, but that's always tough when you don't know enough about how things work to describe the problem well enough and then intelligently answer questions.

Re: (Solved)API not working with PHP 7.2 and Bionic 18.04

Can you guys check something for me....

I had a moment to install 18.04, and I can get the api working by changing just the abstract class to mention CakeObject, rather than Object.
The api appears to still work if I skip adding App::uses('AppController', 'Controller');

Can you confirm this?

Re: Why is zma_m3 broadcasting on my ssh prompt?

Log to console is an operating system setting. This is not a setting in ZoneMinder, and I don't remember where exactly to enable or disable this.
It might be a kernel boot setting e.g. console=ttyS0 might do it.

Google will get you a more precise answer.

Re: mocord vs bulk frames, creates events of 1sec to 30mn+

No, that is not what I'm saying. If you are claiming the motion zone is going into alarm when there is no visible activity, then that means your zones are not tuned properly. The combination of mocord + bulk frames requires you to set and then tune your motion detection zones, no different than if y...

Re: No log entries?

If certain non US standard ascii characters are present in a log entry, that can make the log screen go empty. The JSON decoder blows up under these circumstances. In time, as the entry with the suspect ascii character ages, the most recent log entries will show again. We have attempted to fix this,...

Re: API not working with PHP 7.2

Sometimes I think I'm dyslexic... Until just now, I didn't notice there is a Crud 3.1.0 release, which is not to be confused with the 3.0.10 version we use currently. 3.1.0 is compatible with Cakephp 2.x, and it has fixes in it directly related to php 7.2 compatibility. Can you guys try that?
