Zoneminder 1.36 api errors / 404

Quick heads up; the 1.36.12 Zoneminder package in whatever the default 22.04 LTS repo is has incorrect /etc/apache2/conf-enabled/zoneminder.conf. Specifically api folder has just allowoverrides enabled, but no .htaccess or similar file exists in /usr/share/zoneminder/www/api/ therefore config for ap...

Re: Time line performance

There is... Monitor -> Storage -> SaveJpegs Thanks; I enabled this after seeing your post for analysis frames only as I thought this was a reasonable compromise and would cover the times where the timeline shows potentially interesting events. However the timeline doesnt actually use the analysis i...

Re: Time line performance

Thanks for the reply. It would be nice as an interim measure to have the option to store jpg frames or something for the alarmed events. I think it does something along these lines to allow the 24 hour review function in the app to work? Perhaps a method of viewing that via the web? After posting I ...

Time line performance

Hi, I am a long term Zoneminder user. 12+ years now. My ZM machine is a VM; host is a dual 10 core xeon monster. Storage isnt the best - some old SATA disks that are healthy in RAID 0. Since the move to h264 storage timeline performance on the web has been so poor that I've tended to use 24 hour rev...

Re: New hardware for 90 ip cameras

For anybody wondering; I purchased the above linked DVR. I used it to convert some analogue IP cameras for connection with my Zoneminder system. The rtsp url format is: rtsp://admin:@ipaddr:554/user=admin_password=12345_channel=1_stream=0.sdp?real_stream Note that in the first part of the URL there ...

Re: Lost database; got image files; sift through image files

I have successfully created a program that will go through, crop and then threshold the cropped area in my footage relatively quickly (limited by the speed of my disks handing all the tiny files) I have now narrowed the 2 million frames to 70000 and have a file with a list of all the file names. But...

Re: How to record at 1-2FPS, then record at 25FPS on Motion

Did you try setting maxfps at 1 or 2 then alarm fps to 25? That should do it.

Personally I have maxfps and alarmfps set to 6 then frame skip (in misc) set to 3. That yields 6fps live view, 6fps saved for alarms and 2fps recorded to disk. My function is set to mocord.

Improving modect & Scanning existing event files for motion

I am currently working on software to tie together functions in Into http://intopii.com/into/ to scan your existing event image files for motion. I am not a coder and this is the first time I have ever worked with C style code. However I can work from example and use my initiative. Into is currently...

Re: Lost database; got image files; sift through image files

To update: I have completed a postmortem of this situation. What happened was my recompiled zoneminder deb file for some reason places images in /usr/local/zoneminder/images whereas my original install had them in /var/cache/zoneminder/images. So thats why zmaudit trashed my database. Suggestion to ...

Lost database; got image files; sift through image files?

Hi, There was an incident recently caught on one of my cameras. The date range during which the incident took place is known to within a couple days. My motion analysis seems to have missed the incident - thus preliminary looking at the timeline hasnt shown it occuring. Therefore I wanted to fast fo...

Try creating /etc/modprobe.d/bttv-options.conf with this line in it:

options bttv card=77 tuner=4 radio=0 triton1=0 vsfx=0 autoload=0

Reduce captures per frame to 2 or 3.

Hi,

No the cameras are colour. Ive had them connected to a techwell card (which didnt work well at all) but did provide colour images in the day.

Cameras are professional quality colour/mono day night fixed vandal proof domes.
