Does that mean it has to be a Pentium CPU ? I'm pretty sure they mean that it should be the equivalent of the Pentium III but that an AMD or other x86 with reasonable power would suffice. On the topic of "which distro" it would seem attractive to me to just use Xubuntu and then apt-get install Zoneminder as a binary resource from the distribution sources. That way one takes advantage of upstream packaging and it's easy to update. Are there drawbacks to this approach?
