ok - here's the fuller story. I tend to only look at the Stills due to crappy bandwidth and browser restrictions at work. hello everyone - I am working with 6 cameras (in continuous record), but I have noticed that one of them is only getting about 16 still images per 10 minute record (instead of the usual 100s).

The other cameras seem fine.

Anyone ever come across this?

hi everyone, is there any easy way to connect to my zoneminder box as root directly - for example from WinSCP? I can connect as guest ok, but can't do much. BTW I can ssh in ok as guest then su and login as root.

Any clues appreciated. Thanks in advance as usual!

hi everyone - running latest liveCD - gotta question - how do I load VNC? Tried to find rfbdrake utility to config the server on the zmbox. Did a search on the server but no luck finding it. Also tried Menu --> Internet --> Remote Access --> Virtual Network Connection - but can't find it there eithe...

did a reinstall of the very wonderful LiveCD this evening (I am assuming I did not monkey with anything along the way) ... and hey presto - everything is fine!

yeah, I checked. mandrake Firewall is disabled....

Like you I wish i had more time to figure this stuff out, so for now I shall have to give up!

thanks I'll try that. It's strange (can;t remember off hand exactly) but the firewall settings in the mandrake control panel seem to indicate that it's good for acting as a server .... I thought I was being extra-cautious!

I was thinking of grabbing a couple of cheap SATA drives for my zm box going on at Fry's at the mo'.

Anyone experienced any problems with these (I have an AMD & ECS combo) regarding compatibility?
