For some reason I could not view the image when trying to edit a zone. I checked my paths in the options but no joy. So I created my own directory and pointed ZM at that and sure enough I have the zone now working. Not sure why when I setup the new dir in the same directory with the same permissions...

Modect not working

Hello Everyone,

I'm not having any luck getting Modect to work after uninstalling my ver 1.21 and doing a clean install of ver 1.22.

Mocord and Record are working.

Please advise how I might troubleshoot this.

Thank you!

Tuning ZM for Modect

Last week I uninstalled my 1.21 version of ZM and install ZM 1.22. I'm running into a few configuration problems: 1. I'm trying to run zmu against my remote cameras but that is failing because I don't know how to run it against my ip:port# of the cameras. Here is my setup: Camera 1 is at 192.168.1.1...

I'm stumped. I can see that ZM is still recording. I just can't access it via the zm.php page. I rebooted the server and now when I try to login I get a quick "login" msg then immediately I'm logged out. This is with the 'admin' account that MySQL says is not in the user table. Phil, would...

I looks like the zm database is still intact: mysql> show tables; +--------------+ | Tables_in_zm | +--------------+ | Config | | Controls | | Events | | Filters | | Frames | | Groups | | Monitors | | States | | Stats | | TriggersX10 | | Users | | Zones | +--------------+ 12 rows in set (0.00 sec)

Hi Phil, I meant I did and upgrade to the Debian system not ZM. I did research the mysql issue and found, by using MySQL Admin, that I no longer have an 'admin' account. I tried to create a user named 'tim' and assigned it all the privileges to the ZM db, but I still can't log in. Is there a better ...

Authentication failure after debian upgrade

I've been away from the forums for months becuase ZM has been running so great for me! Thanks Phil!

I did an upgrade to my Debian box last week and now I can't log into the ZM.php page. Can anyone advise me on how to troubleshoot my authentication problem?

Thank you!

I love the idea of having a Debian Doc.
Curious if anyone has tested this doc?
Thanks for your hard work!

Tim

OOOOOPS!
Please disregard I see two people have voted that it works!

Best,
Tim

If you just type 'mount' it should tell you. #mount /dev/hda3 on / type ext3 (rw,errors=remount-ro) It's not so much the filesystem type that might be the issue, more the way the filesystem is configured. When you build an fs you can specify whether you expect it to have lots of small files, or few...

It was the file system limitation. I moved the 2 directory to a backups archive and restarted Zone Minder in Modect mode. Camera is capturing again.

I'm 99% confident I set it up with Ext3 file system. What command could I use to verify that?

Recording Errors

I've been running Zone Minder with three cam's running in Moddetect mode 24x7 since May. Noticed that one of my cams is no longer recording. Disk space looks good: zoneminder:/home/tim# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/hda3 146G 63G 76G 45% / Here is the output from syslog: Aug ...
