the vents are not saved any more

Events are detected correctly, but are just saved with 0.0 length. No chance to view anything. This is how it came: The mainboard of my computer crashed. So I installed the hd-drive and the video cards into a new machine. Ubuntu starts correctly, ZM runs correctly, I can watch the cameras, motion is...

I'm using Firefox. And I solved the problem. I searched and found the problem in the wiki faq: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/FAQ#How_do_I_repair_the_MySQL_Database.3F The line with myisamchk did work after I couldn't remember my database user. Who knows who the default user is? Sorry for ...

ZM is working as a web server. So you need access to your computer from the Internet. The access depends on your Internet connection. You will have an IP-address for your connection. You will find your IP by just going to http://www.wieistmeineip.de/ (it's German, but you just need the numer on top)...

I think it's not the dvd, but an 1.24 issue. I configured the monitors exactly the same in ZM 1.24 and in ZM 1.23: card A /dev/video0 (0) ... (3) and card B /dev/video1 (0) ... (3) The channels (0) are both working in 1.24 but not the channels (1) (2) and (3). I configured the bttv settings in /etc/...

Sound for bird box

I just got a camera bird nest box with sound recording. Is there a way to use the sound sockets of the capture card to forward the sound with ZM?

I tried everything I could imagine, no chance to get the channels working. So I gave up, installed the original ubuntu 8.04 cd and zm 1.23.3 again. And after configuring the necessary settings: there were all channels again. Without any problems. So it must be an 1.24 dvd problem: with card=77 only ...

I just installed the dvd I downloaded this night and I can't get the channels above (0) in my video card running. I got two so named "pico" cards ("options bttv card=77,77"). /dev/video0 (0) is working fine /dev/dideo1 (0) is working fine /dev/video0 (1) no chance /dev/video0 (2)...

what version of ZM are you running now? The zmupdate.pl script will update your database while leaving your events and monitors untouched. I'm running 1.22.3 (the version I got from the Ubuntu 8.04 LTS server installation with "apt-get install zoneminder"). Where do I get and how do I run...

Does this help you at all? http://wiki.robotz.com/index.php/Pico_Install_Instructions_4_Port_CCTV_DVR_Card (look towards the bottom of the page) Chances are that if you can get it working at all with an older Linux distro it'll work (maybe better) with newer. Once you've got a working card in Linux...
