ZM is working as a web server. So you need access to your computer from the Internet. The access depends on your Internet connection. You will have an IP-address for your connection. You will find your IP by just going to http://www.wieistmeineip.de/ (it's German, but you just need the numer on top)...

I think it's not the dvd, but an 1.24 issue. I configured the monitors exactly the same in ZM 1.24 and in ZM 1.23: card A /dev/video0 (0) ... (3) and card B /dev/video1 (0) ... I just got a camera bird nest box with sound recording. Is there a way to use the sound sockets of the capture card to forward the sound with ZM?

I tried everything I could imagine, no chance to get the channels working. So I gave up, installed the original ubuntu 8.04 cd and zm 1.23.3 again. I got ZM on an Ubuntu 8.04 server machine running. I'd like to upgrade to ZM 1.23 without loosing settings or data. Is there an easy way?
