Searched the forum and looked at the hardware compatiblility list here http://www.zoneminder.com/support.html but was unable to confirm if I will be able to get zone minder working in my distro with my camera.
Camera: logitech clicksmart 510
Distro: Suse 9.3
System: Asus p3v4x, p3 667
It appears I can compile a module to get the camera working from here http://spca50x.sourceforge.net/spca50x.php?page=cams and this thread
http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewto ... clicksmart seems to indicate that somebody got it to work with a similiar camera. I considered downloading the live cd as this post http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewto ... ht=spca50x seems to indicate support for the module but I would like to get it running on my own distro and dont want to waste the hosts bandwidth (maybe he might consider the bittorrent protocol for the dl). This would most likely be the most difficult thing I have done as a linux newbie.
I guess I just want to know this is possible before I go for it.
