not recording any events

I'm running xm 1.34 on a raspberry pi using the sd card image found at the bottom of the page here:

zm is not recording any events. all cameras are set up correctly and I can see them in the web gui but no events are being recorded. any ideas?

oh god I feel so stupid - I had Nodect selected instead of Modect
