How can I set up my new, Chinese IPCAM?

I bought a new IP camera in China recently. It is quite good, as far as it goes, and it works fine - you install an app on your mobile and can connect to it from anywhere. But the documentation is very sparse - in Chinese - but apparently it is called 'AP131' and the company may be called "东莞市波特器,材有限公司" (no idea, but perhaps somebody else knows them?). With nmap, I can see:

Code: Select all

Starting Nmap 6.00 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2017-11-18 17:00 GMT
Nmap scan report for frontdoor (192.168.0.19)
Host is up (0.0013s latency).
Not shown: 996 closed ports
PORT STATE SERVICE
80/tcp open http
554/tcp open rtsp
1935/tcp open rtmp
8080/tcp open http-proxy
MAC Address: 00:FC:B8:5F:7B:BA (Unknown)

Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 1.70 seconds
And that is about it - I have tried a number of combinations, but no luck so far. Telnet to port 554 gives me:

Code: Select all

RTSP/1.0 400 Bad Request
CSeq: 1
Server: Hipcam RealServer/V1.0
I tried to click the ONVIP link on the 'Add Monitor' page, and got Source Type FFMPG and a long source path, but all I see is a blue rectangle. So - where do I go from here?

Try and talk to it with ONVIF Device manager. What does that say?

This may be a late attempt to help, but try the below setup. My Denver ipc-1031 nmap data is identical.

viewtopic.php?f=10&t=28952

Source Type: Ffmpeg
Source path: rtsp://user:password@ipaddress/11
Remote Method: TCP
Capture Width & Height: just select 720p from list).
