APT updates stopped ZoneMinder from working correctly

Post by raymonvdm »

Some days ago i have updated my ZoneMinder system due to the bash bug and since then my zoneminder setup is giving me red screens. I think it has something to do with one of the components which got updated but i`m not sure how to troubleshoot / fix

The camera`s are working (Dlink) but i get a lot of motion detection events due to the red screens which seem to be occurring every x seconds

I have some 932L's that stop responding after a while. I try to use the video stream method instead as it seems to use fewer connections to the camera, hence reducing load, but then the camera is responsible for the fps.

You might try my ppa at ppa:iconnor/zoneminder for 1.27 or ppa:iconnor/zoneminder-master for development snapshots which are pretty stable atm.

What's recommended at this point, 1.27 or the development snapshots?

And on a related note, what are the plans for 1.28?

Cheers!

Looks like your issue may be caused by Reference Image Blend %age and Alarm Reference Image Blend %age not being the same value.

And if you want to use Ubuntu 14.04 see:
http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... e_easy_way

It works!

Oh, and delete the Maximum and Alarm Maximum FPS. Use settings in the remote camera to control FPS.
