Hi, I have been running quite a few installation of ZM for several years and I am quite fond of it. I have been running all monitors in continuous "Record"-mode as I never found out how to make them record on motion-detection only without storing every single five-second event by itself.

Can I make ZM run monitors as Modect yet only store motion frames per the defined section length?

I have the same exact question. "Mocord" captures continuously when there are zero alarm frames resulting in a exorbitant amount of "Continuous" caused events. I have "Alarm Frame Count" set to 5 on my cameras. I just want to capture zone triggered event.

To mitigate this I changed the "Section Length" to 60 (1 min) in Monitor->Edit->Misc and I run a filter to delete events with zero alarm frames every so often.
