Need a recommendation

I am looking to build a little headless zoneminder box. What is a good compatible 4 or 8 port capture card with audio that I can purchase. I want the least amount of headaches possible but I don't want it to be real expensive. Can I eventually add another 4 port card in the future or is it better to just get an 8 port card from the beginning? I looked through compatibility list but it doesn't really say which cards are the better ones. Any advice would be appreciated. Id like the card to do the brunt of the work cause the pc wont be too fast. it will be a p4 with 1 gig of memory spare machine I have.
