Three years actually sounds a bit low for a SLA battery that isn't being used - unless you have put it somewhere hot, which they do not like. I'm thinking of getting a little UPS and I will be trying not to put it in the cupboard with my ZM server if I can...
For some reason the 7AH capacity ones seem to be disproportionately cheap here, any other capacity costs double or more per AH.
