Unfortunately his documentation is lacking completely, but if you look back just one page of comments, you will see that the login user/pass are both admin. Also on that same page I had detailed how to do the basic setup for another user as well.trendkill wrote:I tried it, but it asks only username and password...
where can I set the server IP address and others?
Thanks,
Gabor
Ohh, thanks!

Configuration problems
Hi Everybody,
I'm trying to configure a Viseon Viewer to look some monitors running on a remote ZM machine (with IPV6 public address).
I'm reaching the machine via browser with this info:
http://[2001:5c0:xxxx:xxxx::xxxx]/zm/index.php
monitor1: 192.168.1.10 PORT 200
monitor2: 192.168.1.12 PORT 201
zm access1: admin admin
zm user1: root root
Im' not able to configure the viewer. It doesn't work. My questions are:
1)where I can put my ZM ip address?
2) someone could give me some info about a complete working configuration for remote zm?
Thanks a lot.
regards.

Ive never tried ipv6 addressing but it should work in url mode as a minimum.
Im currently working on V3 zm4ms, and this will have better framerate, and if i can get it self healing flash/mpeg streaming.
Over the next couple of weeks i will release a public alpha of a pure low bandwidth viewer. If this goes well i will merge this into zm4ms. I need to update it due to the way we use it to support more than 36 cams, so now would be a good time for suggestions. No promises but if they have general use i will try to include them.

Great, I see you are working on a new version. How is it coming and do you need any input or assistance testing?
A low bandwidth version would be great.
Also a way to integrate multiple ZM installations easily with multiple cycled views. This may be too much, but I have 4 installations with a total of 50 cameras and a way yo view all of them at once would be useful.
A config file or some way to export settings would be great as well. An easy way to set it up once and then move between computers or users.

I am working on a new version but i wouldnt hold your breath yet lol
Its pretty much a complete rewrite. I think a settingsa file would be a good idea, but due to the number of settings stored it might be too mcuh work. Ill see. i might chnage the way settings are stored to make it easier.

"pop up alarm" and "home automation"
Hi James
Great piece of work the viewer is!
Trying to figure out if the pop up alarms work.
My system running 1.24.2 has external triggers that fire and work just fine within zm. The page that the alarm settings point to returns a table and if a trigger is active the "State" is 2 and the "Trgstate" is 1.
Alarm Mode Enabled is ticked in zm4ms.
Nothing seems to happen when a trigger happens.
(EDIT: figured out I had to set up map view first - done that and now get AlarmiNFO dialog but looks like parsing of status page is broken - in Diag tab first line is 192.168.x.x "t" "" "able", then 13th line has "</" in Mon and "v" in State)
Any ideas?
Also, what is the "Home Automation" tab intended for?
Many thanks
John
