its not getting images.
its either a path problem / issue or a login permission issue. Have you created a user that matches in both zm4ms and zm.

Hi, thanks for quick response.
I have read through this whole post and done everything I could do.
I have given both zm and zm4ms the same logins with the same passwords.
The cameras I'm using are Axis IP's if that helps and they all have viewer accounts setup for them.
I've tried countless ip paths but no success.

the monitor ip should be just that, the ip of your zm server.
You may need to monitor the path but only if you have a non std install. zm4ms is designed to work out the box with ross's live cd.
If you post the full url to view a static image i can see if your path is non std.

ZM_EVENT_IMAGE_DIGITS >4
James,
I'm using >4 digits in my ZM. Is it possible to get ZM4MS to go higher than 3? (I'm trying to use 5)
Thanks!

it can do 4, but im not sure it does 5. Id have to look at the code.
Im assuming it doesnt work if you put 5 in the digit setting.
It was modified on request for 4, but i dont understand a reason to use anything other than 3, it will work fine on both the web i/f and zm4ms with 3.
Unless there is a reason im not aware off.

That is right, it doesn't work if I put 5 in (per my apache logs it looks like it reverts back to 1).
I'm not sure if my logic was flawed on this one or not, but I am capturing at 30fps on some of my cameras. I figured 4 digits = 10000 unique numbers. So (10000/30fps)/60seconds = 5.5 minutes of record time @ 30fps before I run out of available numbers. That's Why I set the number to 5 in my ZM. I haven't (knowingly) seen any events go for that long, but I wanted to be prepared just in case. Is my logic flawed?
Thanks for your quick response!

all the 3 digit does is atart at 001
4 digit starts at 0001
but there is no limit to the number of images on either setting so
if you had 100000 images per event with 3 digit numbering
001
999
1000
9999
10000
99999
100000
999999
and beyond
only required IMO so as can sort in order on a folder view, not for web UI or zm4ms UI

i could look into it, but i use the vb.net mysql lib, and i dont have to declare the port, so i will have to read the docs to see if this is an option.
Agreed it would be useful though

the full screen view only does 16 cams as it was never written to do more.
I can add that into a future release.
