I assumed there was a reason for it, not in my skills set. It was crashing mariadb & apache access to zm

Thanks for the update, if you have a spare expendable PC try see if it happens to you all. I have 2 boxes it trashed, remove Innodb it is fine.
I just kept on this because I did not want a newbie trying zm having the same problem. then trashing zm elsewhere

I have a spare box running Ubuntu 20.04 and have copied those innodb settings into the mysqld section of the MariaDB Debian config file referenced. It works fine.

Version mariadb ? im on 10.6.5

MariaDB 10.3.31.

I have a few spare drives will try 10.3.31 or what ever the repository will give me

Ok so 10.3.31 works with innodb mod
10.6.5 does not

That’s interesting. It’s clear the InnoDB part of MariaDB has diverged from the MySQL base on the later version. I couldn’t see anything specific to rule out those config mods.

I’ll bear it in mind for when Ubuntu gets to 10.6 for MariaDB. Hopefully it’ll be clearer by then.
