LMLBT44

I'm looking to setup a video survellience network using zoneminder and I was curious into the LMLBT44 card from Linux Media labs. I was wondering if this card also does MPEG encoding for me, or if I need to use processor resources for that. Thanks in advance for any help you can give,

AFAIK this card doesn't do compression. It's not a bad card though, but not cheap.
