How to view monitors with mpeg?

Been at this for almost a month now, I cannot get any video over mpeg at all.
jpeg works, for what it's worth.

I've tried multiple browsers, tried Windows 7, Windows 8, and Ubuntu 32 and 64, 12.04. Makes no difference.

It definitely does not work.
If anyone has successfully used mpeg, would you please share the secret?

If it doesn't work, and never worked, please say that so we don't keep wasting time debugging it.

And by the way, flash works perfectly on my client machines for everything else.

I see the same behavior on 1.26 as well. I don't know about you but I see this error everytime I attempt to view a flash stream.

I dont think this works at all. I tried to switch to mpeg stream instead of jpeg, and everything died:

So for me its totally useless unless someone can point out if its due to a backend issue (ffmpeg, etc) or ZM directly. If I use jpeg, its "working".

Throwing my name in as well. I'm having the same issue and can not for the life of me figure out how to get mpeg working. If anyone figures this out please post ... I'll keep trying things but so far I'm seeing the same results. Ive also messed around with my ffmpeg output settings with no luck.

commented .... sadly I didn't build from source so I don't have crashtrace enabled hopefully there's another way to run a trace that gets some viable data

Like i said on the github ticket, I will recompile ZM with crashtrace enabled and reinstall, then I will post my output on the ticket, hopefully a dev can pinpoint a resolution path...
