Panasonic wv-ns202a - PTZ not working

Post by foreverg »

Hi,

I have a system with 11 IP cameras, with 4 Panasonic WV-Ns202a. Zoneminder manages them correctly, but I can't make PTZ working.

Does anyone know how to configure the PTZ with these camera?

Thank you

NS202A PTZ setting with version 1.22.3

Post by kkn »

I was able to get NS202A PTZ working finally with 1.22.3

Using panasonic HTTP interface, I turn off MPEG-4 so that I can select MPJEG with higher frame rate, example I set to 15fps. You must match this to your zm setting. I haven't tried with lower fps. Panasonic default is 5fps with MPEG-4 ON.

I also have to edit Panasonic IP capability control Move & Zoom options.

-under Main tab:
Source type: remote
Function: modect
Enabled: checked
max FPS: 15

-under Source tab:
Remost Host Name= admin@12345@192.168.1.10 (or your IP setting)
Remote Host port= 80
Remove Host Path= /cgi-bin/camera
Image Color= 24 bit color
capture width= 640 (or your NS202A setting)
capture height= 480

-under Control Tab
check controllable
control type= select panasonic IP -> then edit (see below)
control address= admin:12345@192.168.1.10 (or your IPsetting)

- edit "panasonic IP control" capability
under Main:
type =remote
command=zmcontrol-panasonic.pl

under Move:
check "can move"
must check "can move mapped"
must check "can move continous"

under Pan:
check pan (don't need any number for pan speed, step, etc)

under Tilt:
check tilt (don't need any number for pan speed, step, etc)

under Zoom:
check "can zoom"
Must check "can zoom continuous"

under preset: check all boxs, set number of preset = 8 (not sure if this affects PTZ function at all)
