Many events, without any movement

Post by Renato »

Hi Dudes,

Due to some problems, my ZoneMinder server was some months turned off. Now I decided to reinstall it, and everything worked well but right now without movements many events they are generated.

Except for the image blend parameter, all the others are as in the previous versions of ZoneMinder, with which I never had problems (at least, no such big problems).

In the link bellow I put a file with some events (without movements) and the log of my system.

You say you have reinstalled, can you confirm which version you are now running. Also it would be useful to see some of the stats for the events as the scores are very low.

Hi Phil,

I installed the last version of ZoneMinder (1.22.0), in a FC3 system (I had problems with the installation cds of FC5). All this was installed in an Atlhon 1.6Ghz with 2Gb of memory and with a 250Gb HD.

At once, thank you for the help.

I think I have found an issue with the sensitivity of zones created with new monitors. I would suggest going to the zone edit window and selecting one of the presets to set the values to sensible values, which you can then amend as you wish.

Exactly Phil, in the zone edit window I changed the parameters using the preset "BEST, MEDIUM SENSITIVITY", and now the events are being generated correctly.

Now I only need to do some minimum adjustments and everything will working again . . .

THANKS PHIL!

PS: I increased the parameter ZM_EVENT_IMAGE_DIGITS, after that the video stream didn't appear more, it only appeared again when I added the camera again. May be this be another issue . . .

the image digits refers to the way the images are named when saved eg 001, 002 with 3 digits or 01 02 with 2 so i think its best left alone unless you have a reason to change it. And of the top of my head i cant see any reason too?

Yeah, in my old install used ZM_EVENT_IMAGE_DIGITS with five digits, but now some events are recorded before I change the parameter.

Probably this causes the error . . . Well, all works fine now!

Ty for all . . .
