Login via URL not working after upgrade

Hi,

I have been running ZoneMinder 1.32.x for a while and chose to upgrade to 1.34.x. The upgrade has happened smoothly as far as I can tell. An issue or two that I had with the previous version of Zoneminder have been fixed (e.g. showing Zones on the Montage view) which is nice.

I had some shortcuts that I could use to launch ZoneMinder and log in as follows:

http://host/zm/?action=login&view=postl ... mypassword

After upgrade that URL didn't log me in, it seemed to get stuck on the post-login page or redirected to the login page so I've change the URL I'm using to this:

http://host/zm/?action=login&view=postl ... mypassword

This gets me logged into the console page, but trying to navigate to any other page takes me to the login page again, once logged in manually I don't have to reauthenticate.

The release notes document the changes made to the login process which mean this could either be a bug or a change in functionality! Any ideas how I work around this?

One other thing I noticed is that I can no longer zoom on the the live views. Previously I could zoom but there was a bug that zoomed in on the wrong spot which was a little frustrating given that the zoom worked flawlessly on any recorded event / video.

The postlogin view isn't really the place to do login... although you should be able to log in using any view. So if you want the console you should be able to just use /zm/index.php?view=console&username=myusername&password=mypassword

I will have to do some tests.

Also live view zooming works fine here so that will required further investigation as well.

I've since upgraded to 1.34.9 and I can both zoom on the live views and log in via URL. As suggested I've changed my login URL to:

http://host/zm/?view=console&username=u ... d=password

Since there are multiple posts on the forum about how to log in via a URL, having it complete here may help others (or myself) in the future.

It would appear that although Chrome works with that URL, neither Firefox nor Edge (EdgeHTML) are happy. The still get the recurring login problem!

It appears that even in Chrome it doesn't work perfectly. It works for a while and then reverts to needing a login after showing the first page!
