Well, i would sugest and option, tab, or command to store all archived events on a dvd directly by cdrecord or simmilar software, all are not linux gurus and make these steps on zoneminder and mysql.
So if you can make an tab, on zoneminder console for cd-dvd recording all archived events qould be apreciated too much.
Your livecd are the best motion detector software for newbies like me on linux, so i think that this feature would be totally complete ur great job.

I think this would be a useful though I have to admit that I don't actually know how to write stuff to DVDs from Linux. If anyone can condense it into a few simple instructions then I can have a proper go at it.

i dont have clue how to encode a dvd from zone minder but perhapses some one here can help you add this feature
