checksum differences

Post by wizzer »

I've downloaded the iso 3 times now and each time the md5 don't match (different one each time).

I'm using a windows md5 calculator, winMD5sum (don't have linux installed atm) any offer any advice?

The first time I downloaded I didn't check it initially, but the CD kept crashing.#

This is a wild guess. IE is notorious for currupting downloads. If that is what you have been using you might try installing Mozilla-Firefox and use it. You may find the side benefits alone make it worth the effort. (no more pop-ups)

I'll give this a try. Is there anywhere I can FTP it from before I install another browser?

Actually, forget about the FTP. I've just downloaded Firefox and I'm hooked already. Particularly like the tabbed web pages.

I'm a big fan of open source generally so I'm not sure why I haven't taken this step before.
