Hi there. I have two cameras hooked to a ZM that I recently installed.
One is a "proper" wifi camera, and the other one is a USB webcam, a Philips 740. They are both in the same room, same place currently. They are both set for Mocord.
When the room is dark, the wifi camera creates zero events. All is well.
But the philips camera generated 64 events so far today!
The "darkness" image that the wifi camera creates seems darker,
but the image that the philips creates looks like the dark sequence before a VHS movie starts -- it has some noise in it, and its not perfectly black either, perhaps a very dark gray?
I suspect this noise is what's causing all the triggering.
I even tried adding a new zone to this camera, a Preclusive zone, so that it has two zones now:
1. All Active 30091 / 39.18
4. New Preclusive 1201 / 1.56
but it did not help. It still gets triggered.
Any ideas on what I should check? This is very baffling..

I would suggest making sure you have event stats on and then read this thread which might help you analyse what might be causing the events.

Many thanks for your help!
Although I see the STATS as enabled in Options, I could not find the "stats" link anywhere.
I also noticed that the events that the webcam create are not called "alarms", as the number of alarms reads 0, but it still records these streams to disk anyway. I thought it suppose to record only if it was in the alarm state? and I thought I read thru all the documentation.
Thank you very much for your help!
