Hello again I try one more time to get some help to get my ZM working with Ubuntu and I have a few questions.
why is the program for Ubuntu so small size ??? for other versions its like 600 + Mb ???
What do I need to download to use with broketree BT848 4 port card ??

i installed the Ubuntu server 8.10 and Zoneminder, i got the following
files in "/etc/"
/tmp/zmaudit.log
/tmp/zmdc.log
/tmp/zmdc.sock
/tmp/zmfilter.log
/tmp/zmpkg.log
/tmp/zmupdate.log
/tmp/zmwatch.log
and the last ten entries of each file through tail command is as follows
guest Operating sys and it is accessible on the other Win-xp Operating
system's browser.
I believe you will help me in this regard to get this system running.

As to size, some include the actual Linux distribution, and some just the ZM package.

My problem now when I did a reinstall of ZM I get the answer that LIBARCHIVE-TAR-PERL missing and when I try to reinstall this with Synaptic the program want to uninstall over 100 files ??? inkluding firefox, Zm etc, if I uninstall this files (100) nothing works anymore ??? any ideas.
