Video format not supported

Post by puggyjay »

Hello

Yesterday Zoneminder updated as part of a Mint Linux update. Zoneminder is version 1.35.18. Since then any save events will not display I get an error "The video could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported." Looking in the event folders it looks like things are being saved as jpegs instead of mpeg4s like before. Nothing else changed that I know of ideas?

Thanks
Jay

I have the same error message. The events are being saved fine and i can view them using zmninja. This issue seems to be specific to the webui only. The version i have is 1.35.18~20210212115535-focal

I just ran an update and Zoneminder 1.35.18 with today's date installed but still not working. I went back a few days and the saved events are fine so it seems that the update caused the issue.

I have found the various "auto" settings don't always work. forcing one or another can make it work.

Ditto on playback, some cams I need to force mjpeg, or it just spins the wheel "loading".

Installed the 1.35.18 this morning on a Pi 3B+ Debian 10 32 bit. JPEG's saving fine. Video writer not.
