Test run on Zoneminder master 1.35.6~20200903182515-focal

Post by bkjaya1952 »

I have tested the latest update of Zoneminder master 1.35.6~20200903182515-focal released today with USB camera monitor .

1. The problem in Function model of the previous release (1.35.6~20200902181741-focal ) has been fixed successfully in Zoneminder master 1.35.6~20200903182515-focal .

2. Uploading and e- mailing of motion detection events can be done without any problem

I have not come across any other problem in this release

You probably didn't try any of the montage layout/size options. They appear to work/drop down, but have no effect.

This testing a great work, but I might make a suggestion that if you are going to do the work that you look into automating it. Once that is done perhaps we can add it the automated testing to our build system.

I have no idea what what testing infrastructures might be relevant/useful, but even figuring that out is valuable research.

In the meantime I'll go fix the scale options..

Scale slider and - + buttons works well to adjust the scale with out any problem

Apparently the montage scale problem has been solved .

But the Scale adjustment drop down menu of the Monitor is still not working .

The error log for Scale adjustment drop down menu is shown below

Yes, it's working as it has.

It may be by design, but the Scale becomes "Fixed width/Height" when any other button is used, and when the scale is changed, the "layout" setting is ignored. Works well otherwise.

The above problem seems to be fixed in the latest release of Zoneminder master 1.35.6~20200908111355-focal

OK, let me add this:
The problem occurs when the the layout width forces a change to the set scale.

Then changing the scale just ignores the set width, although the set width is displayed unchanged.

...111355 is what I'm talking about.
But I'm going to re-install from scratch to be sure something else isn't going on.
I'm doing that because -focal and -bionic are behaving slightly differently on my systems.

...and now I see ...150915 out...

new install with 1.35.6~20200909150915-focal -

I dunno - you must be doing something different.
How many monitors are you testing with?
Might take two or four...
