Date and time on events

Post by Nans »

Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to change the name of the video that zoneminder records so that it contains the date and time.
And also to modify the path in which zoneminder saves the videos, to avoid having a folder in a folder ...
Thank you in advance.

You want to do some post-processing?
I ask because there are built-in capabilities...

The "path" is determined in by the "Scheme" in options->storage. Default is medium, the others are shallow and deep. You'd like shallow, but it's a bad idea unless you only have a few cams and fairly low fps.

The time could be put into the name, but presently the field event-prefix is a literal. Making it parsable may be on a wish list, but I haven't seen it.

Yes I just want to integrate the hour after the name of the event on the folder it creates (for exemple on the 336 folder in the screenshot, i would like it to appear like this 336-15h-48m).

I'm pretty sure that would break ZM. If you wanted to do it to a copy...
