Unusable picture (b/w and shifted) using 1.34

Post by tarkhil »

Hello

I have two cams and perfectly working with them ZoneMinder 1.30. I've built 1.34, reconnected and got totally unusable picture.

First, it's b/w instead of color.

Second... I don't know how to name it in English.

I have no idea on how could it be and what to do...

Check you colour/width/height in the monitor settings. They are wrong. Your logs are probably telling you this.

Originally, it was the same 1780x720 24 bit colour. Nothing usable found in logs, setting color to 256 gray or 32 bit colour yields less usable picture (with color in 32-bit mode, though)

Change the 1280 in +/-8 steps like 1272, 1288, 1296... The skew should reduce in one direction.

(Assuming your doors are vertical!)

Zooming in, it looks like it's off by *1* pixel per line (declared width 1 pixel less than actual width), and it IS in colour, but seems to be using some weird colour palette of 7 pastel colours, which is not the best ...
