Multiple Events - Same Camera

Post by emuhack »

Im looking at recording my driveway camera 24/7 with a 5 day retention (that is already setup and working)

What next I'm looking to do it get a push notification if someone/thing walks on my front porch (which is in the fov) I set the zone in the current monitor and set the mode to mocord, but i noticed that it only now records when motion is detected.(which i know if the idea) Can I have it record 24/7 and still notify me only on motion in the zone?

I hope this makes sense!

Thanks!

Are you sure it is set to Mocord? There is modect: Record only on alarms. And, there is mocord: Record 24/7, and also keep statistics on alarms. Mocord should record 24/7 with additional scores for when movement occur. When you use either of these modes, you will get activity spikes on the "Show Timeline" button in the event view. See this picture from https://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/1. ... vents.html to see where the "Show Timeline" is (top right).

Regarding whether mocord can send emails or not, that is a good question. I forget if it can or not. You can set up a second low resolution substream with modect.

Alternatively you can have two set: i.e. Record, and a Modect on the same camera and stream (if the cameras supports multiple viewers).
