Performance hit going from 1.29 to 1.32?

Post by mrbill »

I'm on 1.29 still - my needs are simple - I don't feel as i'm missing anything by not upgrading - BUT - sound recording does appeal - and if I were to upgrade to 1.32 - would I see a performance hit due to new features? I looked in the release notes and it mentions an mp4 container. Does this mean it records directly to mp4 - or does it still do the jpegs - or is either an option.

Thanks,

Some people reported a performance hit but MOST saw a big improvement.

You can still store to jpegs OR you can store to a .mp4, or both.

Cool thanks for the response. I presume if you want audio, you have to do mp4?
