Ah... that's kind of where I came in (triggering high-res recordings from a low-res MODECT).

This *does* work in Zoneminder with NODECT and is what I was using until I treated myself to some shiny new stupidly high res cameras.... at which point zmc running on 3840x2160 pixel streams was beyond my hardware's capabillity.

As I have a 'Big Raid' for storing the 24/7 mp4's, trigging specific recordings isn't something that bothers me yet. if it does..... :)
