Hello,
what is the best way to configure datastorage an a different partition?
I have v1.30.4, plan to install fresh v. 1.32 on linux ubuntu (ESXi) and mount an extra SATA HDD to storage videodata (I do not want to use the raid 5 for videodata).
Thanks a lot, sorry for my bad english!

Traditional recover a partition methods will cause all data to be lost when you resize a partition. Look for a program like
Partition recovery can resize partitions without loss of data.

Is it safe to partition my C: drive with files on it without losing my data?
Linux does not have a C: drive.
Partitioning a drive could result in data being lost.
Systemd mount is a safe way to mount a drive and control when Zoneminder starts. If Zoneminder starts and the events drive is not mounted zoneminder could remove events from the database.
