ZM API

Post by Zmjm15 »

Hi guys,

I cannot seem to get the ZM API setup.

I have installed ZM the usual way on 14.04 (https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Ubuntu_Serv ... e_easy_way)

I am then taking all the stuff from this guide (https://github.com/pliablepixels/zmNinj ... om-Package) that is to install the API bit, but am getting to step 3;

sudo a2enconf zoneminder
ERROR: Conf zoneminder does not exist!

but after following the guides step by step it does not load up the /zm/api for me.

Is there any specific guide that we should be using on 14.04? As my hosting provider doesnt really support ubuntu 15.

Many thanks

The API is not part of the 1.28.1 release. You have to install a development snapshot or wait until the 1.29.0 release.

This is the guide you should be following if you want to install a development snapshot:

I have it in my 1.28.109 release - is that a development release? If so, it works great.

It doesn't look like iconnor has ppas for 1.29 yet. I'm not quite sure when the packages will be released. Let's see what knnniggett says.

Today's 1.29.0 release is just a release candidate. It's still beta.
Rpm's for zmrepo are done. I can't answer any packaging questions about non-RedHat distro's. You need to contact the package maintainer.
