Upgrade to 1.28

Post by ositstomc »

Hi

I am running Ubuntu 14.04 and would like to upgrade my Zone minder from 1.27 to 1.28, I have add ppa:iconnor/zoneminder to my sources but each time I try to apt-get install Zoneminder it keeps downloading 1.26.5-1ubuntu3 version, can anyone explain why it doesnt fetch the latest ver?

Thanks in advance

Check this out:

If you had the PPA installed to do 1.27 you may have to remove it and load it again:

It may be that I simply havn't made a package for 14.04 yet. I will look into it today.

Hi Connor,

Could you please add a Debian Wheezy package? It could be really useful as there are many Debian users here too!

Thanks in advance and keep the good work!

Hi

I have tried to remove the PPA using ppa-purge as well as the add-apt-repository --remove but it does not seem to remove the file iconnor-zoneminder-trusty.list stays in the sources.list.d folder which is weird?

Is it enough just to delete this file which I have done and then re-add the PPA, as this has made no difference?

Thanks Again

Anything else I can try, I have removed the PPA and re-added and then tried to upgrade but its not getting past 1.26.5?

Code: Select all

DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=14.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=trusty
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS"
Many thanks

Did you run apt-get update before apt-get upgrade?
