Display logon screen instead of "You don't have permission"

When I click event links in my e-mail, ZoneMinder greets me with "You do not have permission to access this resource." Then I have to go to the URL bar, and access the ZM root to log in, and then try the link again.

Is there a way to get ZoneMinder to ask for logon credentials instead of giving me "permission denied" if I'm not currently logged on?

It seems like something that would already be available, but I can't find an option that looks like it.
