Beginner question: Mixing several surveillance camera source

Post by albatroz »

One of my customers has installed surveillance cameras in 2 remote locations
but as they were installed by different providers each of them provide different
pieces of software for allowing remote access to the video signal, so my challenge
is now to consolidate all the video signals into one single screen.

On one location they are using both VideoViewer Lite and EagleEyes and on the other
ezviz7. Do you think Zoneminder can help me with this?

Looks like you are mentioning the software being used to view and record the video. What is more important is what are the cameras? Specifically, are they IP cameras? If they are you should be able to use Zoneminder. It is possible to use one system to view and record video from remote locations. Just be aware of the bandwidth needed to stream the video. You would need to port the feed from the cameras through the firewall.
