Help Setting up FI9821W camera

Post by tleanna »

I have looked at several various posts and UTube videos and still can't seem to get the camera working through ZM.

I can access it through a direct connection in Chrome using this URL: http 192.168.44.16:88 cgi-bin CGIStream.cgi?cmd=GetMJStream&usr=admin&pwd=password (Sorry can't post direct UTL - Forum won't let me)

I can also access it through VLC using the source of rtsp admin:password @ 192.168.44.16:88 videoSub (Sorry can't post direct UTL - Forum won't let me)

So I have these configurations in ZM but none of them work:

Ffmpeg (All not listed are left at defaults):
General Tab
Name: MyOffice
Source Type: Ffmpeg
Function: Monitor
Enabled: Ticked

Source Tab
Source Path: rtsp://admin:password@192.168.44.16:88/videoSub

Control Tab
Controllable: Ticked
Control Type: Foscam FI9821W
Control Device: usr=admin&pwd=password
Control Address: 192.168.44.16:88

HTTP (All not listed are left at defaults):
General Tab
Name: MyOffice2
Source Type: Remote
Function: Monitor
Enabled: Ticked

Source Tab
Remote Protocol: HTTP
Remove Method: Simple
Remote Host Name: 192.168.44.16
Remote Host Port: 88
Remote Host Path: /cgi-bin/CGIStream.cgi?cmd=GetMJStream&usr=admin&pwd=password

Control Tab
Controllable: Ticked
Control Type: Foscam FI9821W
Control Device: usr=admin&pwd=password
Control Address: 192.168.44.16:88

Any help is greatly appreciated...

General Tab
Source Type Ffmpeg

Source Tab
Source Path: rtsp://admin:password@192.168.1.244:80/videoMain (Of course use your user and password and your camera IP address)

Capture Width 320 Capture Height 180 (or multiples thereof)

Control Tab
Type Foscam FI9821W
Control Device enter the camera admin password
Control Address the IP of the camera.

Back to the camera setup utility: in the video settings for Video Main: Stream Type 0 Resolution 720 Frame Rate 10 Key Interval 10 (turn them higher if you want to but you will likely get smeary images!). You may want to turn some of the other settings to a lower value as well. Get it working then push things higher to see what works best for you.
