Video capturing but no image feed on the monitors

Post by lukeyduke »

Dear All,

I have recently done a clean install of 1.26.5. I have added two cameras. I think the configuration is correct as the video is recording. I can export it as a video or stills and this is working fine. However, I cannot see anything on the monitor or montage tabs.

The logs show the video is capturing but I am also getting errors.

I have tried running 'zmupdate.pl -f' to no avail. I think it is something simple but I cannot get it to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Apologies in advance if I am being an imbecile.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for answering. I am running version 1.26.5 on Centos 6.5. When I do a clean install of 1.25.0 everything is fine.

Sorry, I do not know Centos. I could, however, take a guess that the newest version used the same Apache version that Ubuntu 13.10 uses. I've not been able to get ZM working on 13.10...has the same results you have reported.

I had a similar problem when I upgraded from 1.26.4 to 1.26.5 and it complained about having 126 records in Config instead of 125.
I cured it by deleting the Config table and then hacking the zm_create.sql and only only leaving in the lines that created the Config table and the lines at the end of the file that populate it with data.

No idea why I had to do this but it fixed it so maybe worth a try, backup your database first though.

If you want a copy of the sql file I used and maybe a more detailed explanation then feel free to P.M. me

Thanks Bill and chippy99,

I have managed to get 1.25.1 going without any errors or glitches. I am tempted to leave it alone now. I'll will try again in a few months when I have more time. Hopefully an update will be out by then. :D

Thanks for your help.
