Connecting two servers?

Post by PacoLM »

Hi,

I actually have a miniITX board running a Zoneminder server with 5 IP-Cams. The computer has two ethernet connectors, so one is connected to the router to provide access to the internet and the other one is used as an intranet for the cameras (is connected to a ethernet switch where the 5 cameras are connected with a static ip address).
Everything works fine (for years!). Now, I'm thinking in adding a Ubiquiti Airvision Aircam to do the surveillance in the main entrance, able to get the license plates of the cars moving over there. I would like to dedicate another ITX computer to do only this job, as the CPU is going to be quite busy getting 1280x720 images/15 fps or more.
My question is: could I install another ZM server for the Aircam, work with the camera in Modect mode and add the events to the first server as if it is another camera on the first server, I mean, could I have only a web server with the cameras and events of both systems, but having each computer taking care of the image processing of the cameras connected to them?

Thanks in advance,

PacoLM
