Zoneminder 1.25X,Wanscam M-Jpeg issues

Post by metallica1973 »

I have Zoneminder 1.25X running on Debian Wheezy and have installed these cameras as per:
http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... R4020A2_PT
I can see video,my zones are set for motion detection and etc. Below are the specs of the 2 cameras that I am using:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/330876527266?ss ... 1497.l2649
The issues that I am having is when I look at what has been recorded, The videos work but I can see blue screens which I think are disconnects based on the logs:

Code: Select all

Linked: camera1Signal: Lost, Reacquired

Code: Select all

Linked: camera2Signal: Lost, Reacquired
Another thing that is happening is that in my logs, the errors below are overwhelming my logs :

Code: Select all

Corrupt JPEG data: 1 extraneous bytes before marker 0xd9
which from what I found on the net as issues with the code in which I can recompile zoneminder but will only take away the error out of the logs and am not confident that it will fix my camera disconnects or at least I think. I have tried this wired and wireless for it makes no difference. Any ideas?

Try removing the Maximum FPS and Alarm Maximum FPS entries on source::general tab. Just leave them blank and throttle fps at the camera.

thanks for the reply. Been there done that. These cameras have minimal configuration options via the guil. The only option that I though was useful was the baudrate area in which I played with all the option withour success. I emailed the company to see if they have heard of this issue and if there are any firmware updates that I could install. Hopefully they will have some decent feedback, though I dont expect much. This apparently is the fix:
