Separate Storage Location for Alarm Frames?

Post by canut »

Not really a version-related question, but this (1.24.2 on Debian Wheezy) is what I am using, so this is where it goes ;) I am running five feeds in 'mocord' mode but would like to send all _alarm_ frames to an off-premises (cloud?) storage location. This should be done as close to real time as possible. If I understand correctly, there is an option to FTP .zip archives via event filtering, but this might require running the filtering process every other second or so. As an alternative, I was thinking along the lines of sending alarm frames to a separate events directory and have a cron'ed rsync process take care of the rest. Apart from a request for a quick sanity check on this approach, is there a straight-forward way to split alarm from plain vanilla event frames?

Any pointers much appreciated!
