ZoneMinder - many resources

Post by aztrock »

I have ZoneMinder azap installed on a machine with debian 6.0. Pentium 4 3.2 Hz, 3 GB of RAM and a PCI gv800.

ZoneMinder consumes full processor and memory, with only 2 chambers 620X480, YUTV, motion detection, and the computer is at the top.

ZoneMinder is normal to consume all the resources of the machine???

There is an updated list of hardware requirements for ZoneMinder??

Not to sure on the azap stuff but ZM should only be using a small fraction of what you have available! Start with a system monitor or Htop to find out exactly what's using the most then check the logs on that process. Your resolution and palette are a little odd but if they're working....

It's so working perfectly. all cameras. htop income, tells me that the processor is 100% and 90% memory (Too bad I can not send a screenshot) the four applications that consume more resources are: ZMA that appears 3 times.

the resolution of 620x480 exchanged some more small and all you've done is reduce a bit but when the processor activating the procesasor modetect shoots up almost 100%

I does everything possible is put some screenshots.

THANKS!
