a definitive 1.24.4 install guide! It worked for me!

I highly recommend anyone wishing to install 1.24.4 use this tutorial:

It worked perfectly and now I have remote and local (bttv card pv-143) cams working "out of the box"!

(I am still in shock. I have tried at least 6 different installs/techniques and got a little of this or some of that working...but never 1.24.4 and never both analog and ip cams at the same time.)

I am sure I will still find issues, but right this second I am thrilled.

(Next, I will try his h.264 guide!)
