Hi,
I'm using ZoneMinder v1.24.2 on Ubuntu 10.10 x86_64.
I've got a problem with image shown in ZoneMinder: it jumps and triggers the alarm... hard to explain, so a sample available on that URL: http://docs.legeox.net/photos/011-analyse.jpg

I've tried to change the image ratio, but the problem is remaining.

I'm using a Microsoft Lifecam HD5000. The video don't have this problem using guvcview, xawtv or camorama.

Have you an idea ? Could you help me ?

Thanks in advance

I had jumping problems with a card with the TechWell chip, but looks like your cam is USB right??? what I did to eliminate false alarms was to increment "Alarm Frame Count" and/or "Overload Frame Ignore Count" those two can help you eliminate alot of false alarms, even clouds (some)...

Thank you for your answer. Yes this cam is connected on a USB port.

I'm currently trying your solution to increase "Alarm Frame Count".

Where do you find the option "Overload Frame Ignore Count" ?

Thanks for help

I've doubled checked the setup window and I've not found that option with that name.

After a test period, I confirm that the solution you tell me works fine (the image always jump but no more false alarms !)

Thank you !

It is located where you setup the Zone, where the coordinates of the zone is defined!!!
