Afternoon all...

I have treated myself to birdbox with a camera in and a Euresys PicoloPro video card. All of which is plugged in to my Ubuntu box server.

The camera loads all ok using Cheese.

I used the instructions from; http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... 10_Desktop

BUT

the monitor source is appearing in red on the config page and no camera image.

i dont really know where to start - the web seems to be littered with solutions - but i cannot really see the wood for the trees...

can someone point me in the right direction pls?

thx vm

First step is to enable debugging (as described in documentation), and then post us some snippets of your logs in /tmp/zm*.log. Also check /var/log/syslog. That's a good place to start.

Hello All
I'm also stuck with the same problem. I have installed Ubuntu 10.10 and have managed to install Zoneminder.
Could you tell me where to find /tmp/zm*.log and /var/log/syslog and I will send the output in?
I am new to Linux so please be gentle!

Brian
