Convert JPG to AVI

I have a zoneminder installation that has had to be rebuilt, everything is now working again but I have lost all of my events.
I still have the original folders and JPEG files saved as a backup, but do not have the SQL database.
I would like to convert all of these JPG files into AVI files using FFMPEG, does anyone have an ffmpeg command that will scan all folders and subdirectorys and create AVI files for each set of sequential JPEG images found?
