I have a video surveillance system, based on the Wave-p 9808 card.
The hardware is OK, it was running on Windows XP fine, but the manufacturer's software keeps freezing after a few hours, and of course nobody wants that on an important surveillance system
So I moved on to Linux and Zone Minder.
I managed to install ZM, I can see it OK on the web interface.
The problem is that I can get no picture from the cams (I have exactly 8 of them). I have tried with various Monitor settings (format and palette settings, like PAL/NTSC and RGB24, YUV etc.) and all Kernel drivers (I tried card=1 up to 168, all that I have), and all I get is either blank-screens or static/moving lines, but no actual image of any kind.
I am attaching a screenshot so that everyting is as clear as it can be (cameras look different because I set different format/palette values on each of them, hoping to get something) :
So what should I be looking at ?
