Performance compared to 1.22.x ?

I've been using 1.22 for quite some time now on a VIA C3 based system (roughly PIII-500 power) and wondered how folk had found 1.24 compared to 1.22 in terms of CPU usage before I look to upgrade. 1.22 is running quite nicely with three cameras (2 BW, 1 colour) and I wouldn't want to screw up by moving to 1.24.
