Setting up Zones

Post by richw »

Yes me again

I can't define the size of my camera zone's. The wiki suggests clicking on the image (clicking anywhere doesn't seem to do anything) and it also suggests being able to edit them below the image, I just get "Point X Y Action
Point X Y Action" with the save and cancel buttons below it.

Also when I enter a new zone, it show's up twice at the bottom, if I delete one, the other does remain.

Host OS: CentOS 5.2, Client web browsers are (Windows XP) Firefox 3.0.3 and IE 7.0.5703.13.

edit: error_log doesn't show anything

In Firefox, try clicking on one of the corners in the zone, it will turn red, then drag it on the image where you want to put it.

I've tired clicking every corner again and it's staying green.

Do you know if there are any dependencies for this to work?

Just mootools, but like the topic sticky says, this can be broken. So their are things that need patches made for.

Thanks for replying, I've tired Mootools 1.1 and 1.2.

The log's don't show anything (I've checked the /tmp/zm* ones, /var/log/messages and the apache error_log) and add to that I'm not a PHP coder...

I'll take a look and see if I can find anything.

Do you have FireBug installed? If so then you should get some indication in the status bar if there are javascript errors etc and you can press F12 to get more info.

Just thought I'd post an update I've just complied and installed ZoneMinder-1.24.0-rc1-2668 and I can now set Zones. Thanks!

I will sort out a donation shortly!
